CPE academic co-edits new book: Modelling optimization and control of biomedical systems
Dr Eirini Velliou of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering has recently co-edited a book in collaboration with Prof Pistikopoulos at Texas A&M.
In this book, they present chemical and biochemical engineering approaches (from mathematical modelling, computational optimisation and control theories to bioreactors, biomaterials and tissue engineering) for optimisation of biomedical systems. In particular, in silico and/or in vitro platforms for diabetes, anaesthesia and blood cancer are discussed.
