ICE Scholarship reaches £2.0M mark in bursaries
As the Department hosts its Annual ICE Scholarship Day today, it was noted that in the 13 years the scheme has been running we have hit the £2.0M mark in bursaries.
This is a great achievement, especially considering that the funding comes directly from industry and knowing how the last 5 years have been difficult financially on a global scale. This year we have more companies involved and more scholarship opportunities than ever, proving a positive trend within the Civil Engineering industry.
The Scholarship Scheme is as solid as ever. This year we have introduced a new Award to recognize the outstanding professional progression and contribution of our best final year Scholar. The winner will be announced during the Scholarship Day at University of Surrey and the award will be given during our Interview day in the ICE Headquarters in central London in April 2015.
