School's first qualified Physician Associates now working in the NHS

We are delighted to announce that our first qualified Physician Associates are now working in the NHS.

Their intensive course at the University started in September 2016 and the award of PGDip was achieved in July 2018.

Physician Associates (PA) are required to sit a National Examination run by the Royal College of Physicians before they can take up a clinical post. After achieving excellent results in this exam in October, we have heard from sixteen graduates who are starting their first PA posts.

These cover a huge range of specialities from primary care to acute medicine and surgery at practices and trusts in London, the South East and the Midlands.

At present we have 49 PA students studying for the PG Dip at the University.
