Law LLB student receives prestigious bar scholarship

The School of Law is delighted to congratulate LLB student Mark Sheppard on being awarded a prestigious Harmsworth Scholarship by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court which have the exclusive right to Call students to the Bar. Each year it awards a limited number of scholarships to help students fund their studies towards becoming a Barrister.

The award of this Major Scholarship is based on merit considering a candidate’s intellectual ability, motivation to succeed at the Bar, advocacy potential and personal qualities.

Mark is a Final Year student on the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme and is the outgoing President of the student Law Society. Following graduation, he will study at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy in London where he will undertake the vocational stage of training required to become a Barrister.

We wish him well in this endeavour!
