Surrey Business School launches Digital Disruptor Webinar Series
Last week Surrey Business School launched the Digital Disruptor Webinar Series, a conversation between a senior academic and business figures, designed to explore how digital is changing traditional business paradigms.
The first webinar ‘The future role of artificial intelligence (AI)’ welcomed guest speakers Toni Radzihovska, Head of Product for Alexa Smart Home EU at the Amazon Head Office in London and Tazeeb Rajwani, Professor in International Business and Strategy and Head of the Department of Strategy and International Business.
Members of the 160+ audience were invited to think about the various types of AI they come across daily, and discussion points included; the major AI players in the industry versus emerging companies; the impact AI has on day-to-day life and could have on jobs across various industries and sectors; the potential challenges of AI in the future, as well as data protection, privacy and regulation.
Executive Education Coordinator Mark Simmons reflects on the event:
"This topic was a great way to start the Digital Disruptor Series, it really sets the tone for what should be a great collection of monthly webinars".
Following an insightful conversation, Professor Rajwani chaired several questions from the audience.
With thanks to Toni Radzihovska, Professor Tazeeb Rajwani and Mark Simmons.
