Volunteer and inspire prospective students at Open Day

We are currently recruiting alumni ambassadors to volunteer at the University of Surrey Open Days on Friday 5 July and Saturday 6 July 2019. If you studied for a Bachelor’s degree, graduated between 2014 and 2019 and live locally, would you be able to spare some time to help?

What does the role involve?

Our open day alumni ambassadors support academics and current students on the subject stands at the information fair where students find out more about the courses on offer at Surrey. The ambassador role involves sharing your memories and experiences of Surrey and chatting about your subsequent career path with prospective students and their parents.

Our guests really value speaking to recent graduates who have experienced the Surrey journey first-hand and our alumni volunteers play a vital part in showcasing where a Surrey degree can take you. It is also a great opportunity to reconnect with your University and meet other Surrey graduates who volunteer.

How do I volunteer?

If you are passionate about the University and inspiring future Surrey students and are free on Friday 5 July and/or Saturday 6 July we would love to hear from you!

The information fairs run from 8:30am-4:00pm on both dates, however if you can only volunteer for a few hours and want to help please do still get in touch.

To get involved please email  with your availability and your subject of study and we will send you some further details.

To thank you for your time we offer a complimentary sandwich lunch and will reimburse local travel expenses.

If you are unable to help out this time, but would like to offer support for future Open Days please do let us know – we would be delighted to welcome you back to campus for future open days this autumn!
