Travel and parking
It's best to travel to our open days by public transport, if possible, as car parking at the University is extremely limited and the roads around campus are likely to be very busy.
Travelling by train
Direct trains from London Waterloo to Guildford station take as little as 34 minutes.
Once you arrive in Guildford, hop on our shuttle bus or take a 15-minute walk to the Piazza on our Stag Hill campus, where many open day activities take place.
View more information about getting here by train, including walking directions from the station or watch a video of the walk from the train station to the main campus.
Search for train times and tickets on the National Rail Enquiries website.
Free campus shuttle bus
Free open day shuttle buses run between Guildford station (both front and back entrances) and our Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses, approximately every 15 minutes between 8am and 4pm.
Open day parking
Parking on campus is extremely limited and so we recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
Regular dedicated shuttle buses will operate between Guildford train station and our campuses on the day.
If you do need to drive, there are several pay and display car parks (PDF) a short walk from our Stag Hill campus (where the majority of open day activities take place). From these car parks, you can either walk to the train station and take the free shuttle bus or take a 15-minute walk on to Stag Hill campus.

Open day parking for disabled visitors
While parking at the University of Surrey is extremely limited, a number of disabled parking spaces are available for open day visitors with disabilities or special access requirements.
If you need a disabled parking space, please ask a member of our security team or a parking marshall when you arrive at the main Stag Hill campus car park. They'll then direct you to the most suitable place to park.
Unfortunately, we do not have a left luggage facility on campus and you will need to keep all personal belongings with you at all times.
