There are lots of places to grab a drink or something to eat on campus.

Alternatively, why not head into Guildford after your open day? The town centre’s 100-plus cafés, restaurants and pubs are only 10 minutes’ walk or a shuttle-bus ride from our Stag Hill campus.

Where to eat and drink

After a busy morning on campus, it’s important to take some time out to go for lunch and enjoy the open day atmosphere. The University offers a range of food venues, from cafes to street food.

If you have time between talks and tours, don’t forget to stroll down by Stag Hill campus lake. There are plenty of benches for a chilled break.

Stag Hill campus

Wates House Bar

12 noon to 4pm

Visit Wates Bar to enjoy a wide variety of hot food and real ales, located up the hill opposite the Library building.

Stageside Coffee

9am to 3pm

Located in the Guildford School of Acting, Stageside serves Union Hand-Roasted Coffee and a delicious range of breakfast, lunch and snack options

Hillside Coffee

8am to 4pm

Based on the ground floor in Oak House, you can pop in for a beverage or bite to eat and relax in the lounge area.

SimplyFresh

8am to 10pm

The shop offers a salad bar, freshly filled baguettes, snack boxes and other light refreshments. Find the shop at the heart of campus, in the Library and Learning Centre building.

Lakeside Coffee

8am - 4pm

Serves barista-style, triple-certified coffee along with a wide variety of other hot and cold drinks as well as cakes, sandwiches and confectionary, run by our students.

The Hideout

8am - 4pm

We serve fantastic artisan coffee sourced from Chimney Fire. With a choice of a light or a dark roast as well as a guest filter coffee, it’s the place for any coffee lover.

Manor Park campus

Pitchside Coffee

8am to 6pm

Found in the Surrey Sports Park, with lots of seating and a view of the sports grounds.

Bench Bar

12 noon to 5pm

Surrey's home of live sport can be found in the Surrey Sports Park, serving hot and cold food and drink throughout the day.

Café Priestley Road

8am to 4pm

Located on the ground floor of Kate Granger building, serving a delicious range of breakfast, lunch and snacks homemade by a team of chefs for you to enjoy.

Manor Park Social

11am - 6pm

University of Surrey’s latest venue! Perfect for a place to dine, meet your friends for a drink, or just to pick up a coffee.

Vet School Café

8am - 4pm

Fresh pastries, hot breakfasts, superb sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and salads pots or jacket potatoes. Tasty snacks throughout the day from fruit to chocolate, buns, loaf cakes and brownies.
