Accommodation and campus tours
A guided campus tour is the best way to see the facilities on our Stag Hill campus. Tours are led by student guides, who’ll give you real insight into life at Surrey.
Campus tours do not include tours of our student accommodation. See below for information about our accommodation tours, talks and exhibition.
Stag Hill campus tours
Campus tours run every 15 minutes from 9am and last approximately 50 minutes. The last tour leaves at 3pm.
To join a tour, go to the campus tour meeting point on the Piazza. No booking is required.
Alternatively, if you'd rather explore our campus yourself, you can pick up a self-guided tour leaflet from the campus tour meeting point on the Piazza.
Head over to the Information Fair marquee on the Stag Hill campus main field to find out more about our wide range of student accommodation. Our accommodation team will be on hand to answer any questions.
Our accommodation team will be giving 20-minute talks in the Austin Pearce building throughout the open day to give you more information about living at Surrey. More information about these talks will be available soon.
Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Self-guided accommodation tours
We have more than 5,000 rooms of various types to suit all budgets. Rooms are banded from A to F according to price and amenities. The majority of our rooms are in Band C and Band D and you will be able to view examples of these rooms during the open days in June and September*.
Rooms will be open on both Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses and will be marked on the open days map.
Please make your own way to the open accommodation on Stag Hill - look out for the signs and student helpers who will direct you and answer your questions. At Manor Park, please visit the Information Point so a student helper can guide you to our open rooms.
Our free open day shuttle bus runs between Stag Hill and Manor Park all day, making it easy to explore both sites.
* Please note: The popularity of the University means that all of our student accommodation will be occupied in October. Because of this, we are unable to offer tours inside our student accommodation during our October open day. You can meet the accommodation team at the accommodation exhibition inside the Information Fair as well as attend one of our accommodation talks. Plus, download our virtual reality app to take a look inside all bands of accommodation.
