Fabrication of Energy Harvesting Perovskite Space Solar CellsThis project revolves around the fabrication of high efficiency and high stability perovskite space solar cells. In line with the rapid development of technologies for space missions, there is an increasing demand for space solar cells. Such technologies must withstand harsh temperature and radiation conditions in the extraterrestrial environment. A key challenge for solar cells designed for space is the requirement for high specific power to reduce launch costs. Therefore, a key objective is the synthesis and fabrication of lightweight, thin-film materials that also exhibit enhanced stability to heat, mechanical stresses, moisture and radiation.
