Self-disclosure in adolescent in therapy for eating difficulties: A Q-sort methodological study
This study aims to explores factors that are considered likely to influence the decision to disclose during psychological therapy by adolescents who experience eating difficulties. The study uses Q-sort methodology which requires participants to sort 47 statements onto a grid reflecting which statements make them more or less likely to disclose information about their eating difficulties during therapy. Ken-Q analysis is then used to extract factors reflecting the common view points amongst participants. The factors extracted are then interpreted along side demographics and qualitative feedback provided by participants.
