Biography

Biography

Yingying joined the University of Surrey in October 2015 as a PhD researcher after she obtained her Master degree in Tourism Development at the same institute. Her PhD research focuses on the examination of the role of emotion and emotional persuasion in influencing environmental behaviour in the home and tourism contexts. As one of the few scholarship students, she has also involved in data analysis, teaching and marking activities.  

Before joining the University of Surrey, Yingying obtained a Bachelor degree with First Class Honours from the Leeds Beckett University in International Tourism Management. Besides her role as a course representative at the universities, she had various industry working experiences at a regional destination marketing company (Welcome to Yorkshire, UK), two travel agencies (UK and China), a canal boat company (UK), and several hotels (UK and Ramada, China). Moreover, Yingying was a tour maker at stage one in the Tour de France 2014.
