Targeted gene delivery for haemostasis

Aims and objectives

The aims of this project are to improve the technology underlying gene therapy to develop treatments for inherited blood coagulation disorders. in addition, it will further our understanding of the role of blood coagulation factors in inflammation and determine the feasibility of developing novel treatments. 

Potential benefits

This project will aid the development of treatments for severe inherited diseases. It may also open up the possibility of alternative therapies for the treatment of disease/s where blood coagulation factors play an important role in the response to injury.
