We aim to establish a vibrant global network of scholarship, dialogue, research, learning and teaching.
The School of English and Languages has its own international strategy for achieving this, which involves the deepening of existing international links with Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Israel, India, Japan, Taiwan, and Nepal.
International teaching and research collaborations by staff are celebrated and encouraged, and efforts are being made to offer more Surrey University students the chance to visit, study or do work experience abroad. We also offer a range of English Language programmes for international students in preparation for or in support of their degree programmes..
The School of English and Languages currently has a number of strategic partnerships in place with overseas institutions to support overseas staff and student exchange, and with overseas employers as part of our Professional Training Year. Examples of overseas organizations with which we have strong links include:
- The British Council (world-wide)
- International Union for the Conservation of Nature
