Louis Nyuyse became an Adult Nurse after a near-death experience inspired him to work in emergency care, looking after vulnerable people when they need help the most.
Wendy was inspired to train as an Adult Nurse after she lost both of her parents to cancer when they were in their early 50s.
Professor Jo Pritchard MBE was appointed as a Commissioner on the Prime Minister's Nursing and Midwifery Commission in 2010, and awarded an MBE for services to social enterprise. She is an Honorary Professor at the University of Surrey and Director of the first NHS social enterprise, but she started off as an adult nurse at Surrey - here she explains how this opened the doors to a long and varied career.

Study and work abroad
Our Nursing Studies (Adult, Child and Mental Health) students have the opportunity to apply to spend two months either in Stavanger, Norway or Dublin, Ireland as part of an Erasmus+ exchange (Erasmus grants available).
