How to enrol

To apply for a place on a GGA module

  • You have to apply online using the link provided
  • You have to be registered as a student with the University of Surrey
  • You have to provide a valid university username and password

Before submitting your application

  • Make sure you know which language level is right for you:
    • Read the language level descriptions and the module descriptors carefully
    • If still unsure about your level, come to the GGA advice sessions in Welcome Week
  • Check your confirmed timetable against the GGA timetable to avoid clashes
  • Read the Terms and Conditions carefully and make sure you are aware of what to expect with regards to attendance, assessment, and commitment
  • We recommend you apply as soon as you have received confirmation of your timetable. There is usually no undergraduate teaching on Wednesdays, after 12 noon
  • You can only take one GGA module per academic year but you will be able to rank your top two course options during the application process.  Every effort will be made to allocate you to your preferred choice
  • Your application will initially show as “pending”.  Please be patient as it might take time for your application to be processed.  You can expect to receive an answer by Friday 7 October, 12 noon
  • GGA classes are very popular, and demand for certain languages or levels may exceed available spaces.  If this should be the case, you may want to consider taking one of our evening language classes at a discounted student rate

Please note:
