School of Literature and Languages

Texts and languages in a global context

Communication is central to internationalization. International teaching and research activities are key to the School of Literature and Languages, which is reflected in the diversity of its international staff and students.

We aim to establish a vibrant global network of scholarship, dialogue, research, learning and teaching.

The School of Literature and Languages has its own international strategy for achieving this, which involves the deepening of existing international links with Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Russia, Israel, India, Japan, Taiwan, and Nepal.
International teaching and research collaborations by staff are celebrated and encouraged, and efforts are being made to offer more Surrey University students the chance to visit, study or do work experience abroad. We also offer a range of English Language programmes for international students in preparation for or in support of their degree programmes..
