Young carers summer school

Our three-day residential summer school offers you the chance to explore the range of subjects and support that university offers.

Date

Wednesday 18 – Friday 20 July 2018

About

The summer school is an opportunity to meet new friends and fellow students from similar backgrounds, creating the friendly, caring atmosphere enjoyed by students at university. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the life of a student in a supportive environment.

Find out what life is like at university, talk to current university students and try your hand at a range of our courses. Student Ambassadors will be able to share their own experiences as well as answer your questions about study options, living arrangements, support available and clubs and societies.

During the evenings there will be a range of social activities held on the university campus, or in the surrounding area.

Download the flyer (PDF) to find out more.

Who is eligible

The summer school is free to eligible students in Year 9, 10 and 11 who are caring for a friend or family member (due to illness, disability, a mental health condition or a drugs/alcohol addiction).
