"My PhD supervisor is a pioneer and key figure in the field of social simulation"
"The area I am working on is called social simulation. Think about The Sims without the fancy graphics, along with proper and realistic interaction rules. The area is relatively new in sociology. I am working on the theoretical part, trying to contribute to key areas that have not received enough attention from social scientist and general practitioners.
I am located at the Centre for Research in Social Simulation. It is composed of PhD students and research fellows with a very diverse, multidisciplinary background.
My PhD supervisor is Nigel Gilbert, a pioneer and key figure in the field of social simulation.
My aim is to use social theory and philosophy of science to contribute to the theoretical foundations of social simulation. Once my PhD is finished, I want to pursue a career in academia to continue this work."
