Sustainable Development

"I chose the University of Surrey because I liked the research projects in my department. I had just finished my undergraduate degree in Brighton and I was unsure what to do next. I wanted to specialise in the CSR sector of the environmental industry which is what motivated me to choose my programme.

I believe that we are all responsible for the welfare of the earth and all governments, consumers and large corporations should operate on a sustainable platform.

Sustainable Development is a wonderful programme; the module sections are so diverse, there is definitely something to suit everyone. I love the guest lectures as they give a good insight into how sustainability is implemented in companies.

I have found the staff to be very approachable and helpful. Guildford is a very safe and peaceful place and I really enjoy the Sports Park.

I have lived in England for over five years now, I’m always visiting new places. I recently went to Covent Garden, London, it was lovely.

So far, I’ve had a great time at Surrey! I think that with every new experience you mature a little bit more as a person. I definitely have a clearer career path now. I will most likely do a PhD programme in Environmental Policy and International Relations."
