CourseRadiation and Environmental Protection MSc
"Since completing my MSc in Radiation and Environmental Protection at Surrey, I have returned to work at the Bureau of Radiation and Medical Devices in Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, where I worked previously. Thanks to the additional knowledge I gained on the Masters programme, I have secured a promotion to the higher position of Radiation Physicist.
I chose to come to Surrey because it is well-known in Thailand and highly ranked in the UK university league tables, as well as being close to London.
For international students, it offers English Language Support programmes which are very helpful in improving your language skills and enabling you to get the most out of your course.
Another thing that attracted me to the MSc in Radiation and Environmental Protection programme in particular was that it is taught by professors who are well-known in their field.
What I enjoyed most about the course was the opportunity to conduct experiments in the radiation laboratory. These helped me to understand the theory I learned and also enabled me to develop my laboratory skills, which is very useful now in my daily work. I’m especially grateful to the laboratory staff who provided all the equipment I needed for my experimental project.
I am now applying the knowledge I gained during my MSc in my current role, which involves calibrating radiation devices such as ionization chambers and survey meters. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the radiation field, I would definitely recommend the MSc in Radiation and Environmental Protection."
