"After taking the Surrey MBA you will be well prepared for any team oriented project or activity undertaken in the future."
Why did you choose an MBA at Surrey University?
I looked for a program that would offer an international setting where I could challenge myself and build on my network at the same time. As I am looking to work within the space industry after my MBA, I also recognized that Surrey has ties to the space community through the Surrey Space Centre as well as the University spin-out company, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. In terms of meeting my academic requirements as well as offering local opportunities for networking, the Surrey MBA was the right choice.
How do you plan to implement what you learnt in class at work?
This course pushes you to develop your skills in both communication and collaboration. After taking the Surrey MBA you will be well prepared for any team oriented project or activity undertaken in the future. Beyond this, you will develop a new understanding of the forces that influence industry, corporate strategy, and an increased awareness of the current pace of technological change.
What is the most useful skill you have learned during your time on the MBA course so far?
The required multi-tasking and time management within the course have brought me to a new level of personal diligence and perseverance. In addition, I have also learned about my unique leadership style and how I can best use it to positively impact the people I work with in the future.
What new opportunities have you gained being at Surrey?
I believe my new skills and qualifications have something unique to offer employers, thus I look forward to determining my new career trajectory in the coming months. In the short-term, I have plans to collaborate with Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. on my MBA Final Project, which aims to support the UK’s long-term business objectives to gain 10% of the £400Bn global space industry market by 2030.
