CourseOperations and Supply Chain in the Digital Era MSc
"The University of Surrey is a well-established and recognised university. I was attracted by the strong academic history the university has, as well as the versatility of the modules my programme offered.
My first impression of the university was very positive, and I’ve found my programme very motivating, it has also helped me to grow professionally.
The best things about my programme were the module choices, which are all geared towards a modern business world, alongside the fact that they allowed me to challenge myself. My programme provided the option of a placement which meant I was able to use knowledge and skills gained during the programme and apply them practically within a business. I really believe this is the best way to gain exposure to the business world!
Over the past year, I’ve been taught skills to help me in my professional and personal life. I will cherish these experiences and I am sure they will help me in the future.
I believe operations and supply chain management is at the heart of any business and studying the course at such a renowned University will always put me in a strong position for the future.
"I always knew that going on placement would boost my confidence and give me an insight into how businesses operate. Studying business and working within business are two different things and to be able to combine both is a great opportunity."
I had three years of working experience in India before starting my master’s course and I wanted to take advantage of the placement to gain international experience. My placement with Tesco gave me the opportunity to work in a high pressured and fast-moving environment, with a well-diversified working culture.
I have had many wonderful moments during my time at the University of Surrey, beginning right from fresher’s week, to attending early morning lectures, getting involved in class discussions, meeting guest lecturers and building my network. It is hard to specify an exact happy memory as the combination of these aspects has fulfilled my time at Surrey Business School."
