Sleep Chronobiology and Addiction Research Group
Members of this research group conduct world leading Basic, Clinical and Translational research related to Sleep, Chronobiology and Addiction. Sleep and circadian rhythmicity are fundamental processes, disruption of which leads to physical and mental health problems across the lifespan. Addiction has a strong biological basis and is also associated with physical and mental health problems which are associated with considerable costs to society.
The group consists of 15 academic members of staff and their laboratory members. The academic members of staff are all independent researchers who share an interest in Sleep, Chronobiology and Addiction and seek to strengthen research in these areas through internal and external collaboration with academic and industry partners. The research is supported by state of the art clinical and basic research facilities and core technologies.
