Clearing 2026 prize draw terms and conditions
By entering the Clearing 2026 prize draw (“Prize Draw”), entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If an entrant is under the age of 18, the entrant confirms that their parent/guardian agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions:
- The Prize Draw is held by the University of Surrey, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7XH (the “University”).
The Prize Draw is open to all prospective students who register for Clearing 2026 updates through the University’s website and are resident in the United Kingdom, except for: employees of the University and their immediate family members; agents; or any third party directly associated with the administration of the Prize Draw. For the avoidance of doubt, entrants do not have to accept a place at the University through Clearing 2026 to be eligible for the Prize Draw.
By entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The University may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
The Prize Draw is free to enter.
- The Prize Draw opens on 1 May 2026.
- All entries must be submitted by 23:59 on 13 August 2026. Any entries received after this time will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- Members of the University’s Digital Marketing team will conduct the Prize Draw and select the winners after 13 August 2026. There will be three winners and three prizes available.
- The University’s decision will be final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
The winners will be notified via email during the week commencing 31 August 2026. The winners must confirm their email address or postal address to the University to receive their prize. If a winner does not claim their prize within the specified 2-week timeframe, the University reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Winners may be announced on the University’s digital platforms. The University will seek the winners’ consent before publishing any personal information.
The prizes will be three 1-year Gold Surrey Sports Park memberships. The University reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the University’s reasonable control make it necessary to do so. The prize will be arranged within 14 working days of notification.
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered.
- Personal data supplied for the Prize Draw will only be processed as set out in the University of Surrey's Clearing Prize Draw Privacy Notice. For children under 18 years old, consent from a person holding parental responsibility is required. By entering, entrants agree that any personal information provided with their entry may be held and used by the University or its agents and suppliers to administer the Prize Draw.
The University does not accept responsibility for network, computer, software, or technical failures of any kind and has no responsibility for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries. The University will not accept proof of posting, transmission or equivalent as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.
- The University is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with the Prize Draw.
The University reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the Prize Draw to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- The University reserves the right to void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
- The Prize Draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English and Welsh law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
