The University of Surrey was established on Guildford’s Stag Hill 50 years ago. In that time, we have become an integral part of the town and our institution makes a valuable contribution to the wider local and regional community. We’re proud to call Guildford home.

University reflects on its contribution to the Covid-19 effort

The University of Surrey is working locally, nationally and internationally to support the many communities we are a part of during the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

To find out more and see the many contributions we've made please follow the link below. To date, Support has ranged from practical support and PPE supplies for the NHS and other local health and care providers to vital research, vaccine development and testing.

World Space Week Guildford 2019

Celebrating World Space Week 2019, when the University of Surrey and Institute of Physics took over Guildford High Street and involved over 2,000 local people, 30 STEM Ambassadors, 20 external partners and one UK Space Agency spacesuit.
