Campus tours are an opportunity for visitors to see and get a feel for our Stag Hill campus. Tours are guided by current students who can answer questions about student life and their experiences of studying at the University of Surrey.
Tours will take one hour and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have during the visit! If you have any questions ahead of your tour, please email email@example.com.

Frequently asked questions
Please come to the Rik Medlik/Surrey Business School foyer to check-in for your tour. This building is opposite the main car park, where you can park for free on a weekend. A member of the team will ask for your name on arrival and register your attendance. We will also ask you a few questions relating to Covid-19. This is to ensure the safety of our staff, students, and visitors.
We will ask the following questions:
- Have you tested positive for Covid-19/coronavirus or experienced any symptoms related to the illness? Symptoms may include: loss of taste or smell, a new persistent dry cough and/or high fever.
- If you have experienced symptoms, have you failed to complete the required 10 days of self-isolation?
- Have any members of your household tested positive for Covid-19/coronavirus or experienced symptoms related to the illness in the last 2 weeks?
If you answer “yes” to any of the questions, we’re afraid you won’t be able to attend the campus tour. We will ask you to re-book for a later date when you are able to answer “no” to every question.
Following this, you will be asked to wait at the campus tour start point whilst maintaining social distancing protocol of two metres with other attendees.
A University of Surrey student will deliver the tour and will be with you the whole time. There will be an opportunity to ask questions as you make your way round campus. To ensure social distancing is adhered to, please only stop in the dedicated areas your tour guide points out to you. This is to ensure your safety and those of our staff and students on campus during your visit. Nearly all of the tour will take place outside, but you will have the opportunity to view inside some of our accommodation.”

If required, we have trained accessibility students who can deliver a safe and accessible tour. Please email us in advance of your visit at email@example.com detailing your accessibility needs. We will be in contact within 48 hours.
The wearing of a face covering is required in all shared indoor University spaces, including while moving through buildings and within teaching, learning and study environments. As the campus tour will visit some of these areas, you are required to wear a face covering whilst you visit the indoor zones. The element of the campus tour which is delivered outside, can be undertaken without a face covering being worn.
We ask if you have a medical condition which means you are unable to wear a mask, to let us know before departing on your tour.
If you develop any of the main coronavirus symptoms – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss of change to your sense of smell or taste – to protect others, we ask that you remain home on the day and do not attend your campus tour. If you develop symptoms, please visit the NHS website for further guidance and what to do next.
If you can no longer join us for any reason on the day, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel your place. You are welcome to rebook for a later date.
We have a main car park on our Stag Hill campus, which operates via an ANPR system. You are welcome to park in the main car park on our Stag Hill campus if you visit us on a weekend; the ANPR system is not operational on weekends. Please park in the large main car park and not the smaller Pay and Display visitor car park. The main car park is opposite the Surrey Business School, from where your tour will depart.
If you are visiting us on a weekday, please ensure you register your car details in advance on our visitor parking online system. You will have received a link to the booking system in your confirmation email. We can also register cars on the day, should your plans have changed. Please ensure your vehicle is registered in advance, or on the day, to avoid being charged for parking. If you have any queries, please contact email@example.com.

Self-guided campus tours
Our self-guided campus tours will enable you to take yourself around our Stag Hill and Manor Park campus. The tour is fully outdoors, but if you do enter a building during your visit please ensure that you follow the guidance in that area. Signage will guide you through any one-way systems and will alert you to any pinch points or areas with capacity constraints.
Please note that we require everyone on campus to wear a face covering when inside a building (unless you are exempt from wearing one) and ask all visitors to maintain a safe distance from others when walking around our campus.
