We’ve dedicated a site on our Stag Hill campus as a community garden; this is a space where students and staff can come together to grow their own fruit and veg, hopefully saving money, meeting new people and having fun at the same time! You can find out more about progress in the garden by heading over to the blog, or get involved by joining the Campus Garden Society. The Green Team and the Garden Society have also created a recipe guide with some yummy, cheap and healthy recipe ideas - you can download the PDF here!
Staff and students can join in with our Green Impact Awards, all you need to do is sign up on behalf of your team and complete a set of simple actions – from turning off lights to cutting down on printing to cycling to work – and at the end of the year we’ll hold an awards ceremony to recognise the greenest teams at the university.
The USG is a cross-university committee where academic staff, central university staff and student reps come together to discuss the University Sustainability Strategy, new projects and campaigns and any other hot topics.
