Module aim
This module equips leaders with the frameworks and practical tools required to move from sustainability ambition to effective implementation.
Participants will learn how to translate priority sustainability issues into a structured roadmap that aligns with organisational goals, stakeholder expectations and long-term value creation.
Drawing on globally recognised sustainability frameworks and strategic planning approaches, the module builds capability to set clear objectives, define measurable outcomes and design the internal structures required to successfully deliver sustainability initiatives.
Module content
Part 1 – Understanding sustainability performance and continuous improvement
- Defining appropriate sustainability targets and KPIs to measure organisational progress and impact.
- Understanding international approaches to sustainability performance measurement and accountability.
- Using data and stakeholder feedback to refine strategies and strengthen organisational performance.
- Preparing for evolving expectations around sustainability disclosure, transparency and accountability.
Part 2 – Developing and implementing the sustainability roadmap
- Embedding sustainability across key organisational functions, including operations, procurement, innovation and product/service development.
- Building internal ownership and engagement to support implementation across teams.
- Translating sustainability priorities into strategic objectives and organisational commitments.
Learning outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Define measurable sustainability goals, targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify the capabilities, resources and governance structures required for effective implementation
- Translate sustainability priorities into a structured strategic roadmap aligned with organisational objectives
- Learn to embed sustainability considerations into operations, decision-making, supply chains and organisational processes.
Executive deliverable
Participants will develop a strategic sustainability roadmap that include:
- Prioritised sustainability objectives aligned with organisational priorities
- Three to five measurable sustainability goals with associated KPI
- Initial approaches for monitoring, reporting and reviewing sustainability performance.
