CTS Summer School for Translation, Interpreting and AI
Following the success of last year’s Summer School we are looking forward to welcoming students to Surrey again this year for our Summer School for Translation, Interpreting and AI, 13 – 27 July 2026.
This intensive, two-week course offers an in-depth introduction to how artificial intelligence is transforming translation and interpreting. Participants will receive practical training on preparing for the IELTS from an experienced examiner, gain real-time interpreting experience with Dr Kevin Lin OBE and his team and participate in engaging lectures, practice workshops and seminars hosted by CTS staff.
Highlights of the Summer School include:
- Overview of the Masters programmes available in Translation, Interpreting and Artificial Intelligence offered at the Centre for Translation Studies
- Comprehensive training on how to prepare for the IELTS from an experienced IELTS examiner (NEW for 2026!)
- A genuine experience of studying in the UK
- Cultural excursion opportunities to explore the UK's rich natural beauty and unique historical and cultural landscapes
- A certificate of study from Professor Sabine Braun (Director, Centre for Translation Studies) and Dr Kevin Lin OBE (KL Communications)
- Long-term participation opportunities for online lectures and events about translation, interpreting and AI organised by CTS
