Surrey student named finalist for Student of the Year 2026 at National Cyber Awards
Postgraduate Cyber Security student at the University of Surrey, Keleigh Berenger, is among five finalists shortlisted for Student of the Year at this year’s National Cyber Awards.
The National Cyber Awards is an independent award that recognises the people, products and research helping to protect the digital world. Running since 2019 as a celebration of excellence and innovation for those who are committed to cybersecurity.
The Student of the Year category honours those who are in education that have gone above and beyond and deserve recognition for their dedication to cyber education.
Reflecting on the shortlist nomination, Keleigh said:
The University of Surrey was recognised for its world-leading innovation in the field of cyber security after being named Cyber University of the Year at the National Cyber Awards 2023. The world-leading Surrey Centre for Cyber Security (SCCS) at the University works with industry, government and academia to establish methods and techniques which tackle cyber security threats.
This year's winners will be announced at the award’s ceremony on 28th September 2026.
