This study explores the role of dark tourism in promoting critically aware and justice-oriented global citizens. It examines how engagement with sites of trauma and memory can serve as opportunities for learning within a broader social justice framework. The research investigates the pedagogical potential of dark tourism sites. It also addresses the ethical challenges faced by educators and curators in representing sensitive histories. The study analyses how Dark tourism sites encourage connections between past injustices and contemporary social justice issues. Ultimately, it highlights the potential of dark tourism to contribute to human rights education and the development of globally conscious, empathetic citizens.
