Biography

Biography

James Green has worked as a tutor in English for Academic Purposes at the University of Surrey since 2009. Before coming to Surrey, he co-ordinated a preparation programme for students intending to study at universities in the UK at the British Council in Tokyo. He also ran the IELTS and Academic Courses.

From 2012 - 2017, he was the Manager of the IELTS Test Centre at the University of Surrey and in 2017 he became Programme Leader for the English Language Support Programme (ELSP), which offers support to all undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic English. He is also Programme Leader for IELTS preparation courses.

He has the Cambridge DELTA and an MA in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching from the University of Nottingham.

Teaching

James teaches on a number of different courses on the English Language Support programme. He also leads on the module Testing and Assessment in English Language Teaching on the MA TESOL programme.
