Dr Mark van der Enden

I joined the University of Surrey in 2021 as Student Success Advisor and am currently the Student Success Coach for Level 4 Accounting and Finance. Prior to this I was employed as Peer Support Coordinator at Loughborough University and Learning Developer at the University of Leicester. 

My background and research are in Archaeology and Ancient History. As an archaeologist I have worked across the Eastern Mediterranean, specializing in and publishing on the pottery of the Hellenistic world. My research focusses on how ceramic patterns of production, distribution and consumption are reflective of wider geo-political and socio-economic developments. I have also published on Hellenistic military history.
