What makes our training programme unique?

The CDT’s creative AI PhD scholarships will train a new generation of over 80 industry-ready PhDs to lead the transformation to responsible AI-enabled inclusive media.

Our programme is challenge-led, co-designed with creative industry and end-user partners, and delivered in multi-disciplinary cohort teams. Together, we’ll tackle real-world barriers to media inclusion through AI solutions that combine immersive storytelling, technical innovation, behavioural insight, linguistic expertise, and legal frameworks — all with inclusion at their heart.

How to apply for one of our CDT PhD scholarships

The overall learning objective of the UKRI AI: Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Digital Media Inclusion is for all PhD researchers to gain a cross-disciplinary understanding of fundamental AI science, inclusive design and creative industry practice, together with responsible AI research and innovation leadership, to lead the creation of future AI-enabled inclusive media.
