Alexander Fitzgerald

Biography
An interior landscape designer with close to 20 years of experience in horticulture, working across three continents and climates ranging from the humid tropics, soaring heat of drought to sub-zero temperatures as low as -30 degrees. I possess extensive hands-on nursery experience with strong technical design expertise, providing a deep, practical understanding of plant health, micro-climates, and long-term performance in interior and exterior environments. With formal training in architecture and landscape architecture, and specialising in living walls, I am able to bridge living systems with the built environment, delivering creative interior landscape solutions with healthy, robust planting
Matthew Clark
Programme Manager in Air Quality, Sustainable Growth & Public Health Service, Hertfordshire County Council
Biography
Matt has local authority air quality experience since 2010. Currently working at Hertfordshire County Council his role involves developing links between environmental health, housing, public health, transport and sustainability functions. In 2025 Matt became the East of England Regional Clean Air Champion for the Clean Air Programme taking a local authority voice to events across the four devolved UK nations. Matt chairs the Herts, Beds and neighbouring authorities AQ Forum and is working with DHSC to create a regional cleaner air network. Matt is a partner lead on the INHABIT Hub, an advisory board member of CHILI Hub, an active partner of BreatHE IN as well as an advisory board member to GREENIN. He is a member of the CIEH environmental protection panel.
Past achievements include working with GAP to create the first Clean Air Night and delivering healthier air to over 20,000 Hertfordshire children by providing air purifiers to classrooms, Local Authority representative to DEFRAs Air Quality Information Systems review published in 2025.
