This bursary is intended to support some of the initial costs of getting ready for university, whether that's purchasing a laptop, buying essentials for your accommodation, travelling to campus before Welcome Week, or helping with other costs as you prepare for university. The bursary will be paid directly to you as a cash payment. We will contact you again in August with full details of how and when the payment will be made
Eligibility criteria
This bursary will be made to all new students who have been eligible for free school meals (as highlighted in their UCAS application). It will be made once students have completed online registration.
How to apply
You do not need to make an application to the University for this bursary.
All undergraduate students that meet the criteria for this bursary will be identified automatically.
