IASS Annual Symposium and Spatial Structures Conference 2020/21

Inspiring the next generation

We are hosting the Annual Symposium of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) and the 7th International Conference on Spatial Structures here at Surrey.

Dates: 23 - 27 August 2021

About the event

Join IASS

Join the worldwide community of researchers and engineers cooperating at the interface of structures and architecture.

Feel the taste of being on the front line of development of shells and lightweight spatial structures.

The International Conference on Spatial Structures is an event that has taken place every nine years since 1966 and has been organised by the Spatial Structures Research Centre of the University of Surrey.

The seventh conference of the series will be held in the summer of 2021 in Guildford, as a joint event with the Annual Symposium of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and after very careful consideration, the conference will be an entirely virtual event.

The IASS symposia have been successfully held for over 50 years in various countries such as Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Spain and the USA.
