Arrival and induction

Arriving at the University

In order to be ready for your first day we recommend you arrive at the University a few days early.

Before planning your arrival please check when you will be able to move into your University accommodation.

For information about travelling to the University please go to our website.

On your first day you should aim to arrive at the University for 8.30am. For further information regarding the arrangements for your first day please log onto your application portal and read the ‘Important information’ document.

To help you find your way around the University we suggest you download our campus map.

During your first day you will participate in induction activities, including University registration and a talk from International Student Support who will give you lots of useful information, including how to register with the police if you are required to do so. To end the day you will be allocated into classes and have the chance to meet your tutor. The induction is a very important day so please do not miss it.

If for any reason you will not be able to arrive on the first day please inform the Pre-Sessional Team as soon as possible.

Online registration and your IT account

There are three stages to registering as a Pre-sessional student: stage 1 online registration, stage 2 setting up your IT account and stage 3 attending a registration session in person on your first day.

All confirmed students will be sent information with details of how to set-up your IT account and complete Online Registration. You will also be told what documents you need to bring on your first day in order to register on the programme.

You can only set up your IT account and complete Online Registration once instructed to do so by the Pre-Sessional Team.
