Emily's visit to Padua

Prof. Farran completed a research visit to the University of Padua, invited by Prof. Irene Mammerella and Camilla Orefice.

During her visit, she taught two MSc classes and attended lab meetings for both the Developmental Disorders and Difficulties lab, led by Professor Mammarella, and the Memory and Learning lab, led by Professor Chiara Meneghetti, where she observed demonstrations of virtual reality spatial navigation studies, and progressed work which was started during Camilla’s research placement at the University of Surrey  on research priorities for the international Fragile X Syndrome community, as well as international collaborations with Professor Silvia Lanfranchi and Elisa Rossi concerning cognitive functioning in individuals with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities.
