Green Impact enters its fourth year at Surrey

The University’s Sustainability Team have re-launched Green Impact for its fourth year at Surrey!

Working with student charity SOS-UK, a list of sustainable actions have been created that all staff can take to empower their teams to lead the way towards a greener, more sustainable Surrey.

By spending 5-30 minutes a week on Green Impact actions, teams will be recognised at the University’s annual sustainability awards and achieve either a bronze, silver, gold or platinum award.

Sustainable actions in Green Impact have been developed to support the integration of sustainability into all aspects of University life, and include everything from raising sustainability issues at staff meetings, to getting involved with sustainable activities across campus.

Green Impact is now live until Wednesday 27 January 2027.

To get involved, please contact the Sustainability Team.

Green Impact is a part of the University's ambition to embed the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into everything we do. Actions within this programme cover all 17 of the SDGs – especially SDG13 ‘climate action’ as Green Impact empowers staff to take action to combat climate change and its impacts.
