Jenny's talk at Mind and Kleenex collaboration event
Placement student Jenny Tan gave a speech at an event celebrating the 'Take a Moment' campaign, a collaboration between Kleenex and Mind
On 14th May, Jenny was invited to the head offices of Pfizer and Kimberly-Clark (of whom Kleenex is a registered trademark), alongside Mind's Head of Corporate Partnerships. The event was both online and in-person, with a total audience of approximately 100 people.
The purpose of the event was to review the success of the 'Take A Moment' campaign: Kleenex's collaboration with the mental health charity Mind, involving the design of a series of tissue boxes raising awareness of mental health. Jenny was one of Mind's media volunteers chosen to write a poem for one of the four tissue box designs, under the theme 'Restore'. She was invited to speak about her experiences of mental health challenges, as well as the thoughts behind her poem, and responded to questions concerning how mental health can be better understood and acknowledged in society.
The event also highlighted the promotion of wellbeing in the workplace, with guidance for both employers and employees on how to protect their mental health, especially in times of stress.
