SII-DUFE students visiting tourist sites in the Dalian city region
Our Level 5 International Tourism Management students recently spent three days engaging in fieldwork activities in the Dalian city region.
Students completed their data collection for the Applied Tourism Project module and also took some time to experience a diverse range of local tourism attractions for themselves. Dan Knox and Carla Samaniego led students on visits to Bangchuidao Island, Hengshan Temple, Lvshun Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, Fujiazhuang Beach and various urban tourism settings.
The class will now return to the classroom to conduct data analysis, evaluate products and services, and complete a critical review of the regional tourist offer. They will ultimately produce reflective podcasts focused on improving local tourism experience through product design and development.
