Surrey School of Veterinary Medicine celebrates 10th Anniversary with inspiring community engagement event

As part of the run-up to its 10th anniversary celebrations, the University of Surrey's School of Veterinary Medicine hosted local primary school pupils for a special community engagement event.

As part of the run-up to its 10th anniversary celebrations, the University of Surrey's School of Veterinary Medicine hosted primary school students from local schools for a special community engagement event.

Held on 19 June 2025, the day provided a behind-the-scenes experience of veterinary education and animal care, featuring interactive sessions on the history of veterinary medicine and key facts on the common species that are treated, demonstrations and hands-on opportunities.

Students attended a welcome talk and interactive session, similar to what veterinary students would experience, before participating in tours and engaging with teaching models that are used for clinical teaching at the School's Clinical Skills Lab and Veterinary Science Centre (VSC).
