University of Surrey hosts delegation from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to explore educational collaboration aligned with Vision 2030
The University of Surrey was pleased to welcome a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, representing the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Colleges of Excellence (COE), for initial discussions aimed at exploring potential educational collaborations in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Professor Tim Dunne, Professor Roberto La Ragione, Professor Kamalan Jeevaratnam and Professor Bob Nichol hosted the delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The delegation’s visit marked an important step towards fostering innovation, skills development, and global partnerships — key pillars of the Kingdom’s national strategy to prepare its workforce for the future.
Discussions centred on the Kingdom’s ambition to further develop high quality applied educational programmes and opportunities, and the University’s transnational education, including the recent launch of new ‘top-up’ programmes in Medical Sciences and Nursing, designed to support the academic progression of international students.
Delegates also engaged with representatives from Surrey Business School (Hospitality and Tourism Management), and Surrey’s Institute for People-Centred AI to learn more about the University's leading work in applying artificial intelligence to real-world societal challenges.
The University looks forward to continuing these discussions and building a meaningful relationship that supports mutual goals in education, research, and innovation.
