We do not accept the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from Nigeria. However, you can apply to study for an International Foundation Year at our International Study Centre, which will prepare you for a full undergraduate degree course.

To apply for one of our postgraduate courses that require a UK 2:1, you must achieve a GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 from the AUN or 3.3 out of 5.0 from other universities.

For courses that require a UK 2:2, you must achieve a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.0 from the AUN or 2.8 out of 5.0 from other universities. If you have relevant work experience, you may be considered with a GPA of 2.4 out of 5.0.

For courses that require a UK first-class degree to be eligible for a scholarship, you must achieve a GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 from the AUN or 3.7 out of 5.0 from other universities.

English language requirements

All our students need a good standard of English language to be eligible to study with us. See our accepted list of English language qualifications, visit our undergraduatepostgraduate taught and postgraduate research listings pages, and find your chosen course to view our specific requirements.

If you don’t meet our requirements, we offer intensive pre-sessional English language courses, designed to take you to the level of English ability and skill required for your studies. We are also a British Council accredited IELTS test centre.
