About
Biography
I am a veterinarian (DVM, UNAM Mexico) and researcher in animal welfare and behaviour, with a focus on ruminants. I hold a PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, where I studied applied welfare in tropical cattle. My research explores animal emotional states, responses to pain and stress in husbandry practices, and broader welfare challenges in agricultural systems. Through this work, I aim to support sustainable farming and strengthen human–animal relationships.
