About
Biography
Alankrita Singh is a realist researcher whose work focuses on centring patient and public voices in health and social care research, with a strong commitment to epistemic justice. She has led and contributed to studies involving children in social care, people with learning disabilities, and people living with multiple long-term conditions. At the University of Surrey, her current project explores how best to support oncology staff to mainstream genomics in routine practice, asking what works, for whom, and under what circumstances.
Her academic interests include how service users are involved in decisions about their care and treatment, and how people with lived experience and other key stakeholders can be meaningfully involved across the research process. Methodologically, her work is primarily qualitative, drawing on realist approaches to understand complex interventions and systems.
