- Executive Assistant to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Executive Dean - FABSS
I have over 30 years’ experience in project and programme management across a broad range of sectors, underpinned by a strong record of delivering complex, high‑profile initiatives to a consistently high standard. My professional contribution has been recognised externally, including being shortlisted in the Media category of the Asian Women of Achievement Awards. Throughout my career, I have been trusted by senior leaders, commissioners, and stakeholders for my judgement, delivery capability, and discretion.
I have worked extensively within public service media, including as a Producer and Director for the BBC, contributing to documentaries, live programmes, and large‑scale broadcast productions. My experience includes the development and delivery of award shows, major live events, and public‑facing programmes. I am experienced in managing editorial, technical, and operational teams, ensuring compliance with governance, quality, and editorial standards while delivering to tight deadlines.
In addition to production roles, I have served as a Training Director, leading the design and delivery of professional development and capacity‑building programmes within the media and creative sectors. This has included curriculum development, facilitator oversight, stakeholder engagement, and the evaluation of programme impact. I have worked with public service media organisations internationally, supporting skills development and knowledge exchange across diverse cultural and organisational contexts.
I demonstrate strong skills in planning, coordination, problem‑solving, and communication, and operate effectively within fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments. Highly organised and detail‑focused, I manage multiple priorities concurrently, applying robust time‑management and governance to ensure effective delivery. I am recognised as a dependable and collaborative professional, with a proven ability to build and sustain partnerships, memberships, and stakeholder networks.
My experience spans large organisations, higher education, non‑profit organisations, and the charity sector. I have led and supported the development of proposals, funding initiatives, strategic partnerships, publications, launch events, online webinars, and training programmes, working closely with internal teams, funders, broadcasters, and external partners.
I have travelled extensively in a professional capacity and bring a high level of cultural awareness, supported by practical experience of engaging with diverse communities and faith groups. I work effectively across international and cross‑functional teams and adapt readily to differing operational, editorial, and cultural contexts.
I am a conscientious and results‑focused professional with a demonstrated ability to deliver programmes and productions to completion within agreed budgets, timelines, and governance frameworks. I approach challenges in a measured, solution‑focused manner and remain committed to delivering work that aligns with organisational objectives and public value.
