Biography
Department of Computer Science at the University of Surrey, UK. He began his career in investment banking before embarking on a six‑year start-up journey, co-founding an online marketing company in the financial services sector. As the technical co-founder, Joe was responsible for developing and implementing a custom marketing platform. Following this entrepreneurial endeavour, he held an eight-year lectureship in the Department of Computing at Solent University.
While Joe continues to consult and contribute to industry-focused projects, his primary interests lie in teaching and teaching-focused research. He completed his PhD through Lancaster University in 2022.
From a research perspective, Joe focuses on naturalistic technological interventions that support and enhance collaborative knowledge construction.
